Well what a weekend! On Saturday I was trying to tweak a formula to make a high internal phase water in oil emulsion - a very tricky thing to pull off let alone when you have to do it with all natural ingredients. My first two samples performed badly in freeze/ thaw so I spent about five hours on a Saturday night researching ways to improve the cold tolerance of the formula. By this morning I had a plan but no will to try it out - what if I was wrong. AGAIN...... I finally gave it a go this afternoon and am pleased to say that we have progress - not perfection but pleasing, solid progress! The formula feels and looks good and it is performing better in my flash freeze/ thaw test than its earlier incarnations which has to be an improvement. Onwards and upwards :) Amanda
