Well what an amazing day with a great bunch of people. Theres so many thank yous to mention, all of which made today another success for the 6th straight year of the walk. Firstly to Cr Morrison who started the walk in 2009. To Phil Cutcliffe who provided the transport and support vehicle for the walkers as well as Col who again drove the support vehicle and kept us all hydrated and safe. To Andrew Antoniolli - Ipswich Councillor who due to injury was unable to run but who supported the runners, Jen Lewis, Mat Britton and Adrian Fisher, thank you to you all! For every walker who participated today, your efforts bring so much awareness to the project, it was an honour to share the journey with you. We started with the support of Cr David Pahlke who once again provided Breakfast at Rosewood and then Cr Charlie Pisasale and his assistant Sandy who provided our first refreshments..thank you. To Barry and Ange from Coffee club who provided morning tea, lunch and afternoon refreshment, you guys are amazing. To everyone who donated online today and those who stopped and put money in our tins, youve all helped to make a difference. And finally I want to mention an inspiring and amazing contributor, our former mayor, John Nugent who at the young age of 79 completed every single step, every hill, every part of the 50km....congratulations from all of us John.
