Well, winter activities on the farm are progressing; Sharon and Tyler have set up the maple sugaring equipment. I had decided not to do it because Im not up to it, obviously, but they asked to do it on their own time because they enjoy it so much. Theyve already tapped a few trees and Im hoping that I feel up to coming out to the studio to breathe in the steam when they start cooking in a few weeks. Several of you have asked what I read with the thought of flipping a book or two in my direction (which would be appreciated). Bear in mind that I am tanked up on pain medication, so nothing deep, complex or edifying. Strictly brain candy at this point. Satire, comedy, comic books, and nice mysteries (of the crazy cat lady variety) are about all I can handle when tanked up on morphine. David spent several days working on his garden before the ground froze. He can hardly wait for spring and is already planning where he is planting what in the beds. Sharon is fostering a new dog (just what this farm needs, another animal), a small mixed breed that was slated to be euthanized unless a foster home was found. She seems to be coming along nicely, I have not as yet met her. Cookie finally got the license plates for her car, so she has to spend time each day driving around in order to get comfortable with the vehicle in time for her drivers exam in February. So, those of you who live nearby can probably expect to receive a visit from her soon. Otherwise, everything is pretty close to normal here, the pain is subsiding slowly. Im sorry I still am not up to receiving visitors and will not be having any after chemo starts again due to the self quarantine, but Im very happy to hear from you on Facebook.
