Well, with the donations dropped to almost zero, its going to be a tough winter. It also makes me reconsider taking in horses if I cant get any help to take care of them. I dont mean to be a downer, but rescue costs a LOT. Especially cases like Payback. Its enormously expensive to pay for feed, hay, the vet, the chiropractor, the dentist, etc. on a horse that was neglected to that degree. Im not independently wealthy - Im not wealthy at all. I work my ass off, and virtually all the money I make goes into taking care of the rescue dogs and horses here on the farm. There isnt a single animal here that wasnt, in some way, shape or form, a rescue. I ask for help, maybe not as loudly as I should. I have a hard time asking for help. I want to be able to do this all by myself, but the sad fact is, I cant. And if I cant get the support to care properly for the horses, then Ill have to stop taking them in. This pains me greatly, but if I get no help, then when I get Fancy, Doc and Payback rehomed, that will be that.
