Well with us not spending money to plug the holes we need I assume Mr Idzick is waiting to plug them with cheap, developmental talent.. The problem I have with that is Rex Ryan doesnt really have a shot to extend his contract with the way Idzick is handling personal decisions.. Seems like every player Rex wants he says no to.. Anywho, heres my latest mock.. Round one: TRADE!!! Its not that we dont have enough picks, its a matter of grabbing as many impact players as you can.. So instead of 18th overall we move to 30th where we nab an extra second and third.. With the 30th overall selection we choose.... Odell Beckham Jr-WR LSU With the decker signing this is a pick that makes us stretch the middle of the field.. Teams will have to account for Beckhams speed and play making ability giving Eric Decker and our TE one on ones all day.. Round Two Jace Amaro-TE Texas Tech Hes got size and great blocking ability, also another huge red zone target.. Hes a day one starter, not the athlete that Ebron is but hes a solid talent with good potential.. From SF Jordan Matthews-WR Vanderbilt At 63 a solid 215 hes everything we hoped Stephen Hill would be by now.. Matthews is a solid receiver that showed his undercover speed at the combine along with his sure hands and EXCELLENT route running.. Hes a steal in the late second and one we need to make Round Three Jack Mewhort-ROT Ohio St With us losing Austin Howard RT is a big thing on my draft board.. Mewhort is a nasty man who enjoys the fact that he has to play nasty.. His technique is solid and he has more upside than Howard if you ask me.. From SF C.J. Fiedorowicz-TE Iowa I dont know what kind of extension we gave Cumberland but we need depth at our TE position thats why Im taking two this year.. Amaro is the pass catcher while CJ is the blocker, both can do either or but given how well we could mix our packages we could give teams mismatch nightmares!!!! And thats something we havent been able to do in a while.. Round Four From Tampa Adrian Hubbard-OLB Alabama Ohh boy is Rex a happy man with this pick, even with us getting Pace back I still think this is an area of need.. Hubbard is tall, fast and long, everything Rex loves in an OLB.. Also doesnt hurt that he comes from a multiple D system in college that is nfl ready.. Make no mistake we are getting a day one starter in the fourth round here fellas.. Roll tide roll Terrance Brooks-FS Florida St Safety and corner are desperate needs for us and Brooks maybe undersized but what he lacks in size he makes up for with smash mouth play.. Hes got good coverage skills, devastating hitting power and a calmness that lets you know his head is in the game.. Compensatory pick Jared Abbredarias-WR Wisconsin Why not stock pile talent in line of the most receiver rich drafts this game has ever seen.. Abbredarias is the next Jordy Nelson, clean routes and ruthless cuts in and out of his breaks.. Solid speed and height, I think hes a special teams player this year but starts as a WR next year.. Hes a solid pick Round Five Ahmad Dixon-SS Baylor There is nothing that Rex loves more than a smash mouth safety.. Enter Ahmad Dixon, think Im lying check his you tube footage.. He is a bruiser, who has better coverage skils than what he gets credit for, but in Rex Ryans scheme this kid can be successful to no end Round Six Kadeem Edwards-OG Tennessee St With Willie Colon looking to sign an extension I still think you need to look ahead.. Edwards is a solid talent, not a day one starter but if Colon got hurt, hes the better choice over Winters.. Or maybe he pushes winters back into the fold.. Who knows all I know is that this kid is too solid to pass up.. Compensatory pick Aaron Colvin-CB Oklahoma The former 2nd round pick who couldve been the number one overall corner but tore his ACL at the senior is a blessing for us!!! When he returns he is a starting corner that will step in and contribute quickly.. Yea he will be kept on ice but hes worth the wait.. Trust me.. Compensatory pick Deion Belue-CB Alabama Meet the other half of Dee Milliners championship secondary.. Ive always liked Belue more than Milliner, heres why.. Belue is way more physical and a press corner who would rather play man and jam you than play off.. Hes a true man corner who is a solid tackler.. Does he start, well thats big question.. I think he does if Colvin stays on the shelf. If not Kyle Wilson could find himself on the chopping block Compensatory pick Cody Hoffman-WR BYU At 64 he is everything we were hoping Stephen Hill would be.. RELIABLE!!! Hoffman was a number one at BYU, people underestimate his speed/breakaway potential.. Well dont, hes a steal here and definitely could win some starting time.. As I said, stock pile talent Round Seven Loucheiz Purifoy You can never have too many DBs especially since we will lose some next year.. Purifoy is a sound player who could definitely compete for a starting job..
