Well wot a eventful day yesterday in the junior MGP race. Had a good start and was sack and forward between second and forth. On lap 2 I had a massive moment getting blown clean off the road at brandywell, I was on the grass and flattened about 6 road markers and destroyed the bodywork on the right side, the brake guard saved the day I recon. Had a long pit stop as they were not going to let me go due to the damage but the crew did a great job and away we went. On lap 3 a small misjudgement after hanleys saw me put my right shoulder through a thorn hedge. I had been having engine problems from the end of lap one but thought it was just running rough. I had managed to work back up to 3rd on lap only 6 secs back on second but 14 ahead of 4th. I was closing in on second but just after the fast left hand sweeper at Crosby the motor blew up and that was my race done. Still the good people at the Crosby pub supplied me with free Guinness until I was collected by the team. A frantic afternoon changing engines and out we went for senior practice, all good. A late night at slick performance having a custom map done by Robbie Sylvester. A bit to do today and we will be ready to see what we can do for the Senior race on Friday. Thanks to the team for the hard work yesterday
