This is an interesting and informative article emphasizing the quality of food choices versus “low calorie.” Clever marketing has brainwashed women in many ways to believe that foods labeled “light,” “low calorie,” and “diet” are healthy, when in fact in most instances, this isn’t the case. Most of these foods are highly processed and therefore stripped of nutritional value and devoid of vitamins and minerals. This article lists a few good examples of food choices to make as an alternative to their processed diet counterparts. A healthy, balanced diet that emphasizes whole foods should be inherently low in calories to begin with and will fill you up faster and leave you feeling the most satisfied. Try to change the way you think about foods marketed to weight loss.
