Wellp, Its officially March 6th, which means that exactly 68 years ago on this day, one of the most important and influential people in my entire life were brought into this world. From his deep, poetic lyrics, and his guitar tone and style of playing that can melt someones face or can make someone cry, he is the complete reason to my philosophical outlook on life and has helped me get through many different stages in my life since I first heard of him when I was 4 years old. Happy birthday David Gilmour, I will never in my life forget the first time that I heard Us & Them, Hey you, or Comfortably numb, and had been blown away. You helped shape who I am and stand for what I believe in in my lifes viewpoints. To me, you made Pink Floyd (no offense to roger waters, Nick mason, or rick wright, I love you all) and I cant thank you enough for that. Whether I meet you in person on this Earth, or we meet each other wherever our spirits go in the afterlife, I will be waiting for the day that we can connect our souls and I can finally be one.
