Wen we got into the horse business 12 years ago, we knew nothing - TopicsExpress

Wen we got into the horse business 12 years ago, we knew nothing about it, only that my daughter Hannah Stanley loved them; that was all we needed. The excitement in her eyes wen she just saw the horses was my fuel. She started competitive showing at 5 yrs old, placed 2nd in a big show in Ohio, and that was it, it was on! 12 years later, she is a 3- time Pa State Champion, but the biggest and best part of that is seeing her absolute passion for going in that ring,...its not easy maneuvering a 1200lb animal around some of those obstacles with 1000 people watching, it takes alot of dedication and alot of people to make it work. If you surround yourself around good people, good mentors, good things will follow. We have tried doing that. Hannah just turned 16; there will be many competitions to compete in in her future and my heart tells me that her heart is in the right place. I want to personally send a big shout out to Samantha Beal, her trainer and also Jeff Prescott whom i consider to be good friends, they also have to put trust in us that we do the right things, but their guidance and dedication to this business is un-matched....I truly love both of you guys! Along the way, there have been many others that have helped mold this beautiful young lady into the horse girl she is. Those of you know who you are including many people (including many kids she looked up to wen she was little!)too many to name, but i thank each of you for even just a small part that u may have had in molding her into the young lady she has become. ALL of you kids from 4H are an inspiration to me, its lots a fun to see you guys show in Harrisburg, it really is! See you ALL at the banquet in which Ill be bringing the music and lites for our dance off this year!! Glad to be a part of it congratulations to all the kids that showed in 4H this year!!
