Wendys Weekly Hello everyone. Hope your week was excellent - TopicsExpress

Wendys Weekly Hello everyone. Hope your week was excellent and everyone is looking forward to the big Thanksgiving feast. It was a scorcher of a week here in Brisbane with high temperatures combined with high humidity. The G20 was in Brisbane last weekend and not many leaders stuck around after it was over. LOL too hot. The work week progressed as normal. I found out that they plan to promote two existing girls to the A04 positions. My boss said they would like to offer me the A03 permanently. Sadly I had to inform him that I could not accept this pay on a permanent basis as I am losing about a 3rd of my pay. So where I was willing to sacrifice to gain experience, I could not afford to do so on a permanant basis. Damn money!! I told him that I have had a great time and that I really enjoy working with his team and the work that I am doing. He said he would talk with the manager and see what they could come up with. I dont know what they can do, but it sure was nice to hear that I was appreciated and wanted. If they cant do anything for me, that is okay. I sure am grateful for the time Ive had there. I will just have to start looking for a more permanent solution in January. There was an A05 advertisement for a temporary position through to February. I thought about putting in for it, but then decided I valued the trust of the people I am working for more then the money. Okay some people think Im crazy and that I should just look after me and not worry about what anyone else thinks. I just dont feel right given my word to stay until the end of January and then putting in for another position for the same time. Damn money!! Damn ethics/values!! Wednesday we had a storm, which flooded over the train tracks and just like that the trains were stopped. Ben drove into the city (no easy feat) and picked us up. The traffic was so bad, I didnt get home until 9pm. Yesterday I sat down to do some art work and Anthony, Amy, Amelia, Brock and Lucas showed up. So the kids did artwork while Anthony took Amelia to the dentist. Then it was into the pool with some fresh made ice tea. I may have to move my sewing table into the air con back bedroom, if I ever want to sew this summer. Ugh the room its in now is too hot, over looks the pool, and there is not enough incentive to stay in there for too long. Today or this evening Rebecca may stop in with Zachary and Summer. Summer talks about coming over nearly daily. Will I be seeing Andrew and Leah-Jean today as well? Only time will tell. Until next week sending you some of our warmth.
