Went to Anthony Randalls service today. There were about eight or nine of us there. I have been sitting here thinking all day long on the fact that we are no longer 18 - 30 - but 47/48. We are passed middle age. I just seems wrong to have someone that is in your peer group die. We have all agreed that Tony was such a great man. Today, I realized my own mortality. Such a weird realization. I am not getting any younger. All of us are getting older. I do not feel 47. I feel more like 33. Something needs to change. We all need to appreciate each other while we are still here. Getting together every five years has got to change. There are so many of us that live in Springfield and the surrounding areas. There are no excuses on why we do not reach out and GET OUT! I realize a lot of you have family, jobs, and other activities...but lets make time for each other. NOW. Not when one of us passes away. Even I can get out of my humble abode for an hour for lunch...or after work for a cocktail. BBQs. Lets stick together. Thanks! You are all loved.
