Went to Grand Rapids today to see our wonderful friend John Carson at Spectrum Hospital. While we talked with him, his eyes would move under their lids and he would squint them tight. As Mary (his wife) and I were holding his hands while we prayed, he would continue to squeeze them. Mary said that when she told him that Pastor John was coming he got so excited, they sedated him. John and Mary have been very dear to our family for so many years. Our children got their horses from him. He was thrilled that his horses were going to be well taken care of. He was always around and always had a smile. Even with many years of health issues, he was never, ever a quitter. Such a faithful usher under my husband and he is such a good friend, Our lives are richly blessed because of him. We have such incredible friends. Take time out to appreciate those in your life who are special. Thank you Steve for letting us know. Would not wanted to have missed seeing him for the world! ~Kerry Lynn
