Went to Kroger in East Rome this afternoon after work. I stayed in the car while L went in to grab supper. There was an entire crew, 4 or 5 early 20s males, standing in front of Kroger, on the Pharmacy side, scanning the parking lot. Noticed they would peel off individually and approach elderly people in the parking lot. Most were ignoring them or walking away, but saw one elderly man pull out his wallet. I could tell the man was very uncomfortable These scammers try to catch the elderly customers as theyre loading groceries into the car so that the customer will feel trapped since they still have to load groceries and cant just leave. Since Kroger was doing nothing about it, and its their property, I didnt get involved, BUT Im posting this so if you have elderly friends or family who shop there, Please tell them that they do not have to give money to these people, usually with some sad story about their life, and that the money will NOT go to good things.
