Went to Montmartre in 18th arrondissement today, specifically because that is also where the fabric and textile district is in Paris. Right at the foot of Sacre Coeur Basilica (which we saw really well from the little sidewalk cafe where we took some refreshment) is the shop where we found precisely what I was looking for - namely this, my wedding dress fabrics!! Finally, yay!!!! I chose ivory satin for the skirt & train sections, and an ivory brocade textury fabric for the top and sleeve sections. All for less than 200 euros too! Way to go us!!! Lol Really though, if you ever want to find amazing deals on any kind of fabric, this is the place to go, no joke! Many of them sell online too! Altogether, my one-of-a-kind custom couture wedding dress will cost a tiny fraction of a ready-made dress. Score! (Yup, Im bragging...but only a little bit...) ;-)
