Went to Outback Steakhouse last night for dinner after playing some Warhammer 40K at a nearby game store. The Bloomin Onion we ordered was not prepared well - it was thoroughly cooked, but pieces did not separate very well at all. The bowl of clam chowder contained bits of clam that were far, far too gritty/grainy. I expect some amount, but it got to a point where it was like chewing on beach sand. The creamy sauce noodles had an unwelcome and unannounced addition of green onions. The chicken was peppery to the point I could not taste the chicken. None of these on their own would have prompted me to complain, but as I looked around, the only part of the meal I wanted to eat any more of was the salad. Nothing else was even half-eaten. Talked to a manager who removed the things I had issues with from the bill. Tonight I made macncheese.
