Went to a very interesting talk on cognitive enhancements this evening! Ive been to several philosophical talks this semester, but this one was by far the most interesting to me. One question that caught my attention: If society as a whole were to start taking medications such as Ritalin and Adderall (excluding people who have ADHD that need these medications) to become smarter, faster, etc, would our expectations rise along with the rise in our cognitive abilities? This may sound super nerdy, but it just got me thinking and I find it to be very interesting! None of this was being endorsed by the way. :P
