Went to loops to the NEB hearings, emotional ups and downs all day, this morning was LNIB this aftnn was Coldwater, during the lunch break I spoke to the recorder and asked if she or if she knew if any of them had cross cultural training or was and is she familiar with history of BC indigenous people she did say she has been doing this for 9 years and was learning as she went along I thought that was kinda weird but not surprising , we still have non aboriginal people coming to ask vital questions about our land and our connection to the land and for them to have no prior info about us as a nation my thought is that the general assumption is that we are all the same we all do same things and have same thoughts etc etc. And they can learn what they need in a 2 hour presentation... I was watching them as presentations were being done it was as if they had notes of what they wanted to hear and when they heard it they all wrote at the same time and they didnt take not on all the issues, I didnt bring note paper I would have made notes to see when they were taking notes and what they were looking for ..... Went over with Bob then came home with G Niece Leona was so awesome spending time with her
