Went to see an open air performance of Shakespeares Comedy of Errors by the Handlebards at Ordsall Hall yesterday. Four talented lads who travel around with all their props on their bikes. Very impressed and worth catching them if you can. They are performing Macbeth tonight (Wednesday) at Ordsall Hall. There were tickets available (£8 for concessions) direct from the Hall which is preferable to paying the booking fees thru Ticketmaster. I believe they are putting on a performance on Spinningfields when tickets are to priced about £16. Last night they were supported by the Eagley Brass Band fresh from their run in Brassed Off at Boltons Octogan Theatre. The Handlebards have future performances planned for Rufford Old Hall and Houghton Towers.peculius/handlebards.html
