Went to the tip today, came back with some shovel heads, rakes with broken handles, fridge shelves, an old wheel barrow and a couple of pallets. Photos are of the first recycled project, a near vertical garden, all you need are a few non treated pallets with a solid back, some old coffee sacks or hessian and compost/soil. Line the crate with hessian, attach two crates together in a inverted v then fill with soil. All you have to do is cut a slit in the hessian and plant away. I decided to plant parsley, Greek basil, lettuce, strawberries and put a few cucumber seeds in the top (not sure if this was a good idea but you never know). Thought this would also make a great dog kennel for summer as it would stay cool. Keep an eye out for my posts on other tip recycling projects, treasure from other peoples trash, love it :-)
