Went up to Win Stadium today to watch the footy between Australia and Samoa. Perfect spring weather and two very entertaining games of footy. The Samoan supporters out numbered the Aussies and made the atmosphere around the ground more exciting. I hope they get more experienced and stronger and give it to the powerhouse teams next year. The Aussie Jillaroos womens team played New Zealand in a truly fast, hard fought test match. The skills and defense of both teams was outstanding. Unfortunately after leading for most of the game and undoubtedly the better team, the Australians lost the match in the final two minutes. Hopefully they bring more contests like this to Wollongong.
