Were a day late, but Yesterday was National Dog Day!! We want to make sure we give a special shout out to the wonderful, lovely, and furry ladies that make our work days so fun and full of excitement! They work hard, and know how to play hard!! Our First Work Dog was Sophie, the collie. She came to us from Bill Whitestine in Clearwater FL, back in 2001. She was a rescue, who Bill trained to seek and find Termites. She underwent over 600 hours of training for termites, and was then trained later in 2009 to also detect Bed Bugs. She is an elderly lady, who has since retired, and lives in the in the lap of luxury at the Pestmaster Office, getting treats and loving her care free, work free, life. The second dog is Fern. A Black Labrador, Fern came to us in 2010 as our Bed Bug Detection K9. Trained by Paul Price from the North East Police K9 Academy, Fern has since become the most popular of our employees! She lends a calming, caring, and furry shoulder to lean on, when dealing with such uncomfortable situations, like bed bugs. Fern is a hard worker, but loves her time to relax with her best friend, and handler, Adam Stafford. Our third dog is Midnight. Midnight is a Black Labrador mix, and the newest addition of K9s to our family. She came to us, also trained by Paul Price from the North East Police K9 Academy, in December of 2013. She is full of energy, and loves to work, but that doesnt mean she doesnt know how to play!
