Were appealing for information after two heavily matted dogs were discovered wandering around a field in North Lanarkshire. We were alerted on Tuesday (24 June) after the pair of West Highland terrier type dogs were spotted roaming at Jersey Farm, Salsburgh. The two dogs, one male and one female, are now receiving the care and veterinary treatment they need our Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton. Both of the dogs are extremely matted which will have been very uncomfortable for them. Were not sure how they came to be on the field, or how long theyve been there. Its possible theyve been missing from home for some time, but we also have to consider that they might have been abandoned in this state.
