Were blessed that there are folks who are willing to come each week to tend to our trash pickup. I dont want to imagine what our neighborhoods and cities would be like if the trash pickup was not as organized as it is. Many people around the world dont have such luxury... Yet, our respect and gratitude for those who take on this dirty job for us is generally low to non-existent. Mostly its simply expected that the trash can goes out full and comes back empty while were busy doing other things! In the world of Divine Occupations, we hold esteem and gratitude for these Beings who work so hard for us. We understand that it really takes something to be willing to be on that end of humanity’s sludge... we need them! Thinking of them with a heightened level of respect and gratitude actually changes our relationship energetically and uplifts all of us. …And it would be ideal if their pay was equivalent to the value of the service they provide! I LOVE this video of the man who shows up willing and ready to do his part to get our trash into the truck. The garbage is so compacted in the can that it just won’t come out. He lets out frustration…! I think it’s frustration for all the thoughtless things people do every day that makes his job so much more difficult than it needs to be or deserved. If we were all a little more aware of our role and its impact within ‘the line of systems designed for our social order and benefit’, we’d probably be more careful and willing to give our part a little more attention. In this case, if the person who jammed the trash so hard into the can realized that someone was going to have to ‘deal’ with it later, hopefully they would have managed that differently. Most of the time we just don’t think about it... I visited a gorgeous ashram in Upstate NY many years ago. It was pristine and full of vibrant energy and life. The gardens were immaculate and everyone followed the simple rules that were easily laid out and understandable; Strip your beds and the fitted sheets go into one bin and the top sheets into another. There was such a simple grace in everything there. It had me thinking about what our world would be like if we all did our part and lived like this. If there was no one left who would throw the tiniest piece of paper or litter on the ground… It’s a valued and necessary position in our world to be one who ‘cleans up’. It’s literally cleaning up ‘physical stuff’ and also clearing energy. We want to hear about your new ways of thinking about and engaging with the peeps that tend to our trash. How do you see their contribution on the Soul level… the biggest picture of what they provide?
