Were delighted to invite you to attend the national launch event for SENDirect an exciting new online service created by the SEND Consortium. SENDirect has been developed with parent carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities, and allows them and their support network to compare, review and purchase services in their local areas. We spoke to over 300 families of disabled children last month and 85% of them said they still have very limited choice when it comes to choosing health, social, or education activities. SENDirect will change this by offering families the chance to access services and information in one place, to share their experiences with other families and to influence the development of services that better meet their needs. SENDirect will also make it easier for organisations to promote their services directly to families and to understand and respond to demand for new and different services.
