Were excited about Countdowns Food Rescue Appeal which launches in their stores nationwide this week and runs until Christmas collecting non perishable food for Kiwis in need. To kick start the Appeal, each store has donated a full trolley of groceries to The Salvation Army with a combined value of $86,000. And look out for their TV advert featuring Brett McGregor which is playing now and encourages Kiwis to make food donations in Countdowns specially marked trolleys or cash donations at checkout. Thanks to Countdown for helping us boost supplies during one of our peak demand periods. With their help well be producing Christmas food parcels for more than 17,000 families.
