Were getting dogs out of these bitter temperatures as fast as we can. Meet BEAR, Detroit police jokingly named him Tipper, because he was tipping over garbage cans while franticly trying to find food and any kind of shelter to keep himself guarded from the cold wind. Bear is at the vet now receiving medical treatment and getting warmed up. The last two dogs we rescued are a Rottweiller and Rott mix who were absolutely freezing, shaking and becoming lethargic when we rescued them. Rottweilers are large dogs with thick coats which proves just how cold it is in Detroit right now. WE ARE URGING EVERYONE TO KEEP YOUR PETS INSIDE.
