Were often given the BS line that it is bosses that take the financial risk of starting businesses and, therefore, the rest of us should be oh so thankful of the employment opportunities they provide. That may be true of privately owned and operated small businesses, but it it NOT true of the large businesses or any of the small, medium, or large businesses owned by other businesses and/or groups of administratively and practically detached shareholders who care only about the productivity and profitability of the owned enterprise. These businesses dont care who works for them, so long as somes bum is on that seat. in fact, they would collapse if all of their workers saught employment elsewhere. And then we have inheritors like Ms. Rinehart: had everything land in her lap after Daddy died, complete with fully fledged and operating infrastructure and workforce, being literally able just to sit back whilst her accounts and investments continue to accrue without much input on her behalf. And then, if that werent enough, we find out that at least 1 in 20 of them have been tax dodging. Yes, World, these are the business leaders and pillars of the community that hold themselves in so high regard deigning to provide us with employment opportunities... whilst they sit back and perpetrate acts that would see most of the rest of us severely disciplined, if not imprisoned. canberratimes.au/comment/tax-evasion-by-super-rich-hurts-every-australian-20150103-12gbd5.html
