Were they thinking about the natural habitat of the Belongil forest when the plans for West Byron were created? Calling out to the passionate youth of the shire to step up and protect the natural beauty that sets Byron aside from all of the other coastal towns of Australia. Now is the time to state our intentions to the minister loud and clear on behalf of the generations before us, ourselves, and the future generations to come and enjoy this special sanctuary built on a strong community, beautifully fertile land, and thriving wildlife. I think this is a really important current issue that is hitting Byron Bay and will continue to hit in great swells but if we can prove that we are strong enough to stand our ground now, then we have the ability to do it again and at the least, shelter Byron from some of the really damaging development plans.
