Were thrilled to announce that Good Morning Britain presenter Sean Fletcher is going to run the London Marathon for us! Seans running his first marathon to raise funds and awareness for us following the death of his mother Carol from bowel cancer in 2006. Sean said: “Losing my mum was heart-breaking; she was only 54. When I learnt more about bowel cancer, I was astonished to find out that it’s the UK’s second biggest cancer killer. However its treatable if caught early enough, so I wanted to do all I can to help raise awareness. “I’m thrilled to support Beating Bowel Cancer and help raise funds so the charity can continue to support more patients and families affected by the disease. I definitely feel that it’s something people don’t talk enough about, so I’m pleased to be lending my support to such a great cause.” Sean, who turns 41 just a week before the marathon, said: “I’m nervous as this is my first marathon and I’ve reported from the London Marathon before, so I know what people look like when they cross the finish line!
