Were trying to work out the kinks in our pre-registration process regarding taking payments right at the time of pre-reg. It involves the following problems: 1. UT must be okay with the process, and UT is technophobic and also doesnt trust students. 2. We need to be able to technically integrate it with the registration system so that its user-friendly on both the back end and front end. If we cant use it, or if you cant use it, then theres no point. 3. We have to decide how to handle event pre-registrations. There will be no refunding available, and events are added, changed, and removed all the way up until and through the end of the convention. 4. We have to balance the convenience and demand for online fee collection with the fact that it will cost us money. Some platforms will charge a flat, one-time-per-year fee, others use a flat fee by the purchase, and still others use a scaling fee by the purchase.
