Wes Anderson - Centered : It was on my flight home after an intense photo workshop with Steve McCurry in Thailand in which my photographs were critiqued again and again and I seriously was questioning whether or not my photographic style was adequate, or even good. I watched at least 2 different Wes Anderson films on the way home (because Thai Airlines has the best on-flight entertainment), and it hit me so hard; I am very much influenced by Wes Anderson. Perhaps it was coming off of the intense critiques of my work and style that made me realize this, but in that moment, I knew I was just fine and any doubts I had about my photographic style started to melt away. Im nowhere near Andersons level, obviously, but without even thinking about it, I frame much like Anderson. And its not just me! I think there are a lot of photographers out there who are influenced by his work!
