West Coast Fans!!! Some kind animal advocates on the west coast are rooting for this girl Saving Carlotta. She is running out of time. In four days, Carlotta will be delivered to a facility where nobody cares about her future...in four days, Carlotta will become just a number...in four days, Carlotta will become another face in a sea of hopeful faces. Months ago, Carlotta was just another abandoned pit bull who was left to fend for herself on the streets. The young dog had been dumped in an area of Bakersfield, Calif., which is known for dog dumping. At that time, Carlotta beat the odds when a man saved her and she was taken to a veterinary clinic to be spayed, given shots and tested for heartworm. Carlotta was placed into boarding at the veterinary hospital, but her time there is drawing to a close. For months, a few good-hearted people have worked tirelessly to find an adopter, or a rescue agency, to take Carlotta in - but the results have been dismal. Carlotta cannot stay the vet clinic any longer - it is not a boarding facility (her advocates cannot afford one) and she is taking up a kennel space which is needed for sick and/or injured dogs. On Saturday, if a rescue organization, or adopter, is not found, she will be taken to an animal control facility where she will join hundreds of other dogs who desperately need a place to go.
