Weve all received some pretty strange gifts in our lives. Apparently, so has God. I wonder if theres a museum in heaven specifically for the unusual gifts bestowed on Him. For example, the gifts given by the Philistines mentioned in 1 Samuel 6:17. Maybe they were hard put to figure out what to give to the God Who Has Everything but -cm’on people- golden groin tumors, REALLY??!! How ‘bout giving something a bit more appropriate like, oh, Praise, for instance. Heb. 13:15....let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of his name. Id know Id take praise over hemorrhoids any day-even if they were gilded- Im just sayin’.
