Weve been looking around trying to think of where we want to end up. Part of us thinks of Northern San Diego County but now it looks like we are leaning more toward Carson City NV. Thats ok because I have some awesome friends there, there is a lot to do, Lake Tahoe is close, and the air is good. Plus, retirement $$ will go further since there is no income tax. I was looking forward to living near my Cousin Mike and his family, but we can visit frequently if we are both retired. So, Im resigning to this. We are checking out property that is at least an acre so we can have privacy and grow our own organic vegetables. I will miss the Bay Area weather and the beautiful plants we can have outside here, but I wont miss the traffic or the black stuff that I wipe off the windshield of the van that is parked outside. So, there are pluses and minuses in all choices.
