Weve done a mini study highlighting changes in the workforce since 1980, the last time the federal government set standards for how diverse the workforce on federally funded construction and other projects ought to be. Today is the 49th anniversary of the day Lyndon Johnson created those standards. If we are going to celebrate when they 50 next year, the Obama administration needs to take action so more people of color and women can access jobs on major infrastructure projects across the country.
