Weve done it! £14,000 raised for the Water project in Burundi! Thank you to all who have support the project!!! In August this year, I will be going out to Burundi (self funded, no money leaves the pot) to see in the start of the construction of the water pipe. The project will improve the quality of life for 4000 people and reduce deaths from diseased water. A huge thank you to Rhys Thomas, Justin Lewis, Brad Davies, Shirley Bumcrack, Craig Thomas, Richard Kingsland, Jeff Stephens, Tim Hoggard, Meurig Evans, Richard Stephens, Mark Rees and Richard Lewis..the core members of team COCK (Charity of Cycling Kind) and thank you to all the riders of the Cardiff to Llanelli ride organised by Brad Davies. You are inspirational, one and all. The organisation required to arrange these events is incredible, a special thanks to Rhys Thomas who lead a team of outstanding men from the front. Last nights charity dinner was an amazing night with an inspiration and eye opening talk from the rugby legend Gareth Jenkins...bloody incredible man. The meal was attended by over a hundred people from all backgrounds including Fiji captain Deacon Manu. I got to make meet some incredible people who I will consider friends for life.
