Weve got this beautiful section of the Appalachian Trail in our backyard, and youre sitting here lookin at Facebook? Seriously folks, grab a backpack and lets go! These shots are taken from the Mt. Minsi area near Stroudsburg PA. We hiked a loop this weekend, several miles down the Appalachian Trail and then back towards the car on an abandoned truck path called Mountain Rd. Google Mt. Minsi and zoom in real close, youll see the trails. Elisha Arnold, Lance Kellam, Ron Dee, Josh Foster, Max (our dog), and I set out with packs slightly heavier than ideal last friday, and made it back to our cars in one piece with a minimum of bug bites two days later. Next stop is Hawk Mountain in September. Anyone want to join our motorcycle gang? This is our initiation test! You dont need a bike you just need to make it home without whining...
