Born June 30, 1941 in Arp, Texas, Larry formed The Newbeats with brothers Dean and Marc Mathis and scored seven hits between 1964 and 1970 including Everythings Alright, Break Away, Run Baby Run and their biggest, Bread and Butter. which reached #2 in the fall of 1964.
