Read on to hear what he has to say to BSP journalist Ishan Tyagi. 1.How did your team fare up at Inter IIT Guwahati (last year’s Inter IIT)? At Inter IIT last year, we defeated IIT Roorkee in the gold medal match and brought home the trophy. 2. What do you think have been the major changes in your team structure from last year to this year? There have been a lot of changes. About six of our first team starters graduated, so we have an almost entirely new team. Also, we have a new coach with new styles and work ethics. So, all in all there has been major restructuring in the football team. 3. What are your expectations from the Inter IIT this year? Gold, what else. Weve tasted blood once and now we are in no mood to look back. Theres no point of aiming low. 4. What are the major challenges you think youll face before and during the event? The entire defence line has changed, there are a lot of fresh entrants. The major focus is to prepare them for the event, both physically and mentally, and build their confidence. During the event, the biggest task would be to top the pool of death thats the biggest task at hand. 5. What different strategy/approach have you adopted in order to perform better this year than the previous years? There is a lot of focus on fitness of players this time around and our practice is structured around that. Also, we have tried a number of new formations as we look to best fit in the new players and overall the team is now a more composed unit.
