We’re looking for feedback! Because of the sheer amount of technical phone calls we field on a regular basis, Josh Lindsey of J & L Performance Race Cars Fan Page and me have decided to see how much interest there would be in a series of Local / Regional Seminars. We haven’t worked out all of the details, but that’s where you guys come in! Initially, our goal is to introduce any and all Racers to basic Race Car knowledge. Call it an introduction to future classes if you will. There is absolutely too much material to cover in one afternoon or evening, and we believe that not everybody will want to sit in on every topic we discuss in detail. Our primary focus will be the basic aspects of what it takes to compete in modern small tire Outlaw style classes. We plan on providing an in depth overview of cages, chassis components, chassis tune ups, torque converters, transmissions, axles, power adders, electronic components, safety systems, track management, power management and so on. In subsequent Seminars, we will be discussing each system with great detail in classes that are dedicated to specific components. Again, our goal is to provide Racers with the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to be able to campaign a race car successfully on a fairly limited budget in today’s highly competitive world of small tire drag racing. But, do keep in mind that so much of what we are planning translates directly into big tire racing as well. We do not want to exclude anyone! And that’s where you come in! We would like to determine what you guys would like for us to discuss in great detail. What is it that you need to know in order to take your program to the next level? Here is a list that we have come up that we feel is relevant to the questions we are being asked most frequently. • Suspension and Shock Absorber Tuning • Power Management • Electronics • Torque Converters/ Transmissions/Ratios • Safety Systems and Data Acquisition Systems and how to interpret the Data • Boost Control 101 • EFI Tuning No doubt we have left something out, so please help us to understand what you would benefit from the most and we’ll include it! Help us to understand what you would like to learn about, and we will work to provide you with that information in an interactive classroom environment. Our intention is to eventually bring leading industry professionals in to help answer questions and to discuss their specific components. But that is down the road. And it is based on your feedback! What would you benefit from learning the most about? Until we can judge the amount of interest, we’ll keep it to having face to face Seminars here in the D/FW area. If there is enough interest, we will certainly look at moving into an internet based format for the folks that are too far away to make it. Pricing will be $50.00 per person for the Basic class and then each detailed Seminar will be $150.00 per person. Thanks for taking the time to read through this and give it some thought gang! We’ll be looking forward to seeing your feedback!
