We’ve been based on Corsica, in the centre of the island in Corte, a good point for checking out the whole island on the bike. Tuesday we went north to Cap Corse, Wednesday we went south to Bonifacio where we booked our ferry for Friday to Sardinia. The whole island is very rugged with lots of twisty coastal roads, some good for biking others in a bad state of repair. Good scenery all over and some beautiful beaches with unbelieveably clear water. Weather’s around 34deg.C but, probably because it’s so mountainous, there’s thunder, lightening and heavy rain every afternoon between 3 – 6pm depending on where you are on the island. Waterproofs needed for biking!
