We’ve noticed that when the president signs a legislation there - TopicsExpress

We’ve noticed that when the president signs a legislation there are about a dozen pens for his use. It appears that he uses one pen to sign one letter of his signature. Then another for the next letter and another for the next letter until his signature is done. These pens are then handed out to people who have been influential in the formation of that legislation. I wondered how much those pens cost. Barackspen reports that those pens are A.T. Cross Townsend Selectip Rolling Ball. It sells those exact pens for $140 each plus shipping. I suspect that our government pays at least that much and likely more. (I could not find actual receipts online) That’s over $1400 that is handed out for free with no regard to the cost to taxpayers. Sure that’s not even a miniscule percentage of a drop in the vast $1.75 trillion dollar deficit last year but it’s an example of the mindset of these people. How crazy is that?
