What. A. Day. From A to Z of emotions. Kerouac is going to be at the critical care vet for a couple more days. We were able to get on with Credit Care to spread out the amount owed, since it will be pretty massive (and we had to pay his main vet first - where he spent Friday night). I think we might need to change his name to Trip To Italy when he comes home, since that is what he will be taking the place of for the next couple of years. He is hooked up to a bunch of stuff and looks pretty miserable, but he is drugged up and hopefully will spend most of the time there resting. Nothing like having two vets in 24 hours show you a piece of paper with the estimates which total 15 times what you have in your bank account. They were all super friendly, however. He will only be eating wet food from here on (which should have been the case already). Three cans a day. That sounds like an obscene amount of food, and we cant get the cheap kind, so he is working his way towards being the worlds most expensive free cat. I miss my boy so much. But I think Raindrops misses him even more. She seems confused when we feed her. She has always thought that she tells Kerouac when it is time to eat and then he notifies the waitstaff. Her meals are missing a step and she isnt sure what to do when we set her food down. We had a very short turn-around between the vet and getting ready for and then getting to the wedding, but we did it. It was so much fun. SO much fun. I think the bride and groom were very happy with what I did and so many folks said the nicest things to me after I was done - they were a great audience. I mean guests. They were great guests. And Cait and Garren were just glowing and looked gorgeous and all of their friends were so wonderful and Caits Mom and Dad sang a song which made me cry. It was beautiful. And then I ate every food ever made. Plus a cupcake. Since we wont be able to afford food again until 2016, it was a nice way to end the evening and the day.
