What EID teaches us: The Spirit of Sacrifice ************ Today is Eid-ul-Adha,a time to commemorate the story of prophet Ibrahims willingness to sacrifice his only son for the sake of his love for god. Its not just a ritual; its a way of life! Fathers love versus the love of Allah.Ibrahim (A.S) chose Allah; got disowned. Love for home versus love of Allah. Ibrahim (A.S) chose Allah; got evicted. Love for life versus love of Allah. Ibrahim (A.S) chose Allah; got thrown in the fire. Love for homeland versus love of Allah. Ibrahim (A.S) chose Allah; migrated. Love for wife and kid versus love of Allah. Ibrahim (A.S) chose Allah; left them in the barren desert. Love for childs life versus love of Allah. Ibrahim (A.S) chose Allah; took the knife to his sons neck. The One who created life as a test, and subjected Ibrahim to the greatest of these tests, stopped the test right there! The one being tested was still willing to go on... Its not just a ritual; its a way of life! More than a festival, its a time to learn and practice the value of devotion and dispassion that Ibrahim showed by sacrificing something vry dear to him... Sacrifices are necessary if anyone wants to gain anything and if you have Nothing To Sacrifice, you have Nothing To Gain. So, Find your Ismail And Sacrifice it. #EID_MUBARAK #MJ
