What I find encouraging are open declarations by a large number of public intellectuals of their left-wing stance and, most of all, the recent development in terminology used in their (and our) speeches. Expressions like revolution, exploitation, imperialism, class war, socialism, commune and alike, that used to have bad connotation as if their meanings were something antisocial and therefore inappropriate, and for that reason were for many years absent from public discourse, are now being used in their full legitimacy.
