What?!? I have found out on Friday that I was nominated for an I AM AUCKLAND Youth Worker awards, in the category of Youth Activate Award, but have just found out that Ive been selected as a FINALIST too. WHAT?!? The award recognises those individuals and organisations who go above and beyond in the area of arts, culture, sport, and recreation. But even cooler, the awards were nominated by young people under 18 years old, and the finalists selected by the Auckland Youth Advisory Panel who sit under the Mayor. Oh man! I am blown away! So humbled. So excited! :) Thanks, to those young people who nominated me, Thanks to Auckland Citys Youth Advisory Panel for selecting me as a finalist. Woohoo! And congrats to Emma, Kev, and Alexandra for making finalist in your categories too. Woohoo! and Thanks, YMCA for having my back 120%, and thanks to my Raise Up Maungakiekie-Tamaki crew- You guys rock! So excited. Bring on that black tie, Aotea Centre award Ceremony.
