What I just don’t understand is that now that Science has proven, through repeated testing, the dominant psychological hypothesis from the 20th century regarding homophobia: that it is a self defensive psycho-emotional response. Which they have recently done by repeatedly showing that the most homophobic males are also the males which measure the most penile arousal when shown homoerotic imagery. Why are these low-income and low-education communities, like, say, the ones which gave us Rap music, still so invested in their homophobia when the dynamic is now known to be so transparent? Do they really and truly not believe in Science unless they need to use their cell-phone because their refrigerator has stopped working or they need an ambulance.
