What I learned this week (1) A spiritual director reminded me that it’s always God who takes the initiative in my life and then invites me to respond to His will. I know this, heard this before and, if I’m honest, have even experienced what my yes response brings. Why I still sometimes struggle with the Master of the universe is beyond me, and that makes me appreciate His sense of humor over my laughable puny efforts! ;-) (2) An old teacher reminded me = if I can’t clearly visualize the end point of a desired undertaking, then maybe I’m not really serious about taking it on – or not really ready to pay the price for its success. Adjusted my mind’s eyes then, or just my heart’s fogged lenses! ;-) (3) A playful child who was at the wrong place at the wrong time taught me that if I take life too seriously then ironically I’ll miss out on life and the perspective that the open, the clear and the innocent are privy to . I may be at the right place at the right time but at the wrong age then! ;-)
