What Is the First Step to Build My business? I had someone ask me today for a step by step outline of what they should do in their business. This is a missionary on the other side of the world. If I were to have given you a personal answer, part of it may have been different. But I decided to post here for you exactly what I told that person and hope maybe it would help you. _____________ Well let’s talk about STEP #1 now – then we’ll add others later. Step One is to create a new mindset. Few people when they get into business have been taught to think right. Most think as employees and followers and not owners and leaders. Of course, motivational speakers like Tony Robbins, Jim Rhon, Zig Zigler and many more are great to help us begin to think like the successful. (We are blessed to have almost a limitless supply on YouTube.) You also own the Inner Circle in Empower. Log into Empower and choose Inner Circle on the left menu and you will find hundreds of audios. Some are good, some great, and some phenomenal. But THE MAIN THING I DO is approach it from a spiritual standpoint. Too much weve been taught to just barely make it on this earth and keep our mind on heaven where we’ll be going soon. But God designed for us to be Kings on the earth. To walk in abundance. To be an example of his goodness. To rule OVER our circumstances. But first we have to defeat our own ignorance, our flesh, and the devil. So I try to listen to some good teaching every day. I just try to be led of the Spirit and then choose something to watch. But be sure you’re not letting unbelief come in. Jesus said “BEWARE” what you hear. So we have to conform our mind to what the Bible really says – not a genetically altered gospel that so many preachers like to present. They want to base God on their experience, not on what He said. You can’t read the Bible with an open mind and question whether it is God’s will to heal or to prosper His people. So often we think mindset is nice but not very important. But more and more I am seeing it is the most important thing as almost all super successful people will teach. We need to learn to make goals, We need to write and speak affirmations. But fear is always from the enemy – and he is always a liar! If God was in you beginning with this, He is in your succeeding with it. But the lessons you learn along the way will make you a better person.
