What It Will Take For Peace In The Middle East. The keys to peace start with the empowerment of women in Moslem cultures. Men are the natural warriors and women are the natural nurturers. Islam as interpreted by radical, always male, Clerics emphasize the violent nature of the Koran written in a violent time. There are also many very peaceful teachings in the Koran. As women gain more equality in the Islamic cultures the more peaceful aspects to the religion will gain the upper hand. Even secular governments in Moslem countries tend to be somewhat violent because Islamic men are still the driving force with many focusing on martyrdom and the heavenly rewards the Koran offers. (Virgins). Egypt has always been one of the more moderate Moslem countries and this new anti Moslem Brotherhood government might be a new beginning.
